Ducktor Who Will Save You From Inflatable Daleks

It's amazing what you can do with LED lights. It's also amazing how many really and truly weird "Doctor Who" items there are out there in Weird Product Land.  First, let me explain Doctor Who, especially for those of you who may have already come across my inflatable Dalek post.

Doctor Who is a British science fiction television program, the story of a sometimes-lone time traveler from a faraway and very advanced society (in spite of the fact that the TARDIS, his time machine, probably still runs on vacuum tubes). Anyway, it's a perfectly wholesome television show, in spite of the Doctor's somewhat dubious habit of picking up nubile young Earth wenches to travel around with.

The show has changed over the years, of course. It debuted with the Doctor traveling very innocently with his granddaughter. The Doctor was an old man who appeared to be in his seventies. When that actor left, viewers (and writers too, I imagine) discovered that the Doctor could regenerate upon being mortally wounded.

Yay. Since then, about 10 additional actors have played the part of Doctor Who. The last actor worth his salt was No. 4, represented in this duck. As you may notice, the duck is wearing a scarf. The Fourth Doctor was known for wearing stupendously long, motley scarves.

This particular item is called "Ducktor Who". You may be wondering where the LED lights come in. Well, they're inside the duck, and they light up and change color when the duck is placed in water. This will actually give a very old-style Doctor Who-like effect, and is good for hours of time-travel fun in the bath. You cannot change these batteries, so don't break them.
