Haunted Houses
You gotta love a site like Haunted House Online. These people are passionate about haunted houses - of the commercial kind.
I didn't realize this until just recently but commercial haunted houses have become big business. This is due in large part to the special effects technology that Hollywood has pioneered in recent years that is now being employed by the haunted house industry. Some of these houses have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in special effects.
The result is an interactive - and often times quite scary (depending upon the person) - experience that is not unlike an expensive amusement park ride.
This site has an excellent and well organized list of haunted houses in both the US and Canada. The page that I am directing you to is a list of the top ones - with great descriptions of what makes each one unique.
