This little item was filed under "candy with no reason to exist", but it's brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. It's gummy candy in a sardine can, shaped like sardines. The cool thing is - well, besides the fact that the candy is shaped like fish - is that you have to use the special key to open the can o' candy, just like a real sardine can.

Well, it's not exactly like a sardine can, because you're not making a little sheet of metal curl back while you roll. The top of this box just slides out, so the box is actually reusable. That's a plus, because one of the minuses that I've read about is the small amount of candy in the box. 

Gummy candy rocks. Gummy candy shaped like truly disgusting things that you shouldn't go around eating rocks even more. 
One weird use for an item like this if you are a sardine eater is to give it to your kid. Kids like to mimic their parents, but they don't like sardines. If you give them this candy, then they can mimic you without being grossed out and avoid bad kitty breath in the process. 

Do you know what they're called? (Huh? Do you? Do you?) They are called "Squishy Fishies", which is just absolutely fun to say. Try it. You'll love it. Squishy fishies. Squishy fishies. Get some for your kids. Get some for your desk at work and experiment to see which of your coworkers actually takes the bait. 

Actually, any use for this item is a good one. It could be a grab-bag item for a kid's birthday party, or an adult's birthday party. It could be a Christmas stocking stuffer. It could be a little "cheer up" present for your significant other or just something to plant in a friend's house to see how he or she reacts.
